Centre Court, Victoria Park Tennis Court
I knew nothing about tennis before today, and here's what I know after:
1. The scoring system for a point: Love(0)-15-30-40-game. If both stuck at 40, the next point is 'Advantage', winning one more will win the game.
2. The audience are meant to sit down and keep quiet during the name, they can move around during the break, occurs when the sum of the score is in singular other than 1 (e.g. 2-1).
3. You can get sunburn sitting here for a game. Those who shoot are in black long sleeves.
4. If it rains, the umpire will decide whether to pause or end a game.
5. Some games at the smaller courts were more exciting than in the centre.
And here are the players left me a bigger impression.
1. Maggie Ng
We were (secretly) rooting for her until the last match point. Too bad it wasn't a happy ending.
Shot on a SEL100400GM, heavy, large, but the worst part of my copy is the focal ring, very hard to rotate.
2. Viktoria Morvayova
Watched her for 3 days. A feisty player.
3. Momoko Kobori
Found her at the small court against a taller and more powerful opponent, it was a tough game. What drew my attention is her manners. Polite for sure, yet she is calm and collected, like a queen. That's refreshing to see.

4. Maya Joint
This one needs no introduction - so young but very skillful.

I like that I can basically appreciate a tennis game by Day 3, and watching these games could be inspiring. And finally, my best shot of the 3 days:

Kallista Lau in front of the Prudential ad.
